Animal bone is neither ivory nor mammoth tusk. Therefore
customs permits or certificates are not required when
crossing borders with a piano with bone keys.
Repairing

In order to ensure that the key covering is not wider
than the key itself, we recommend a repair which involves
cutting the key side and gluing a new piece of spruce.
